The Friends of the Gloucester Dog Park host several events each year to raise funds that pay for the park’s ongoing maintenance and improvement projects.

Our Summer Kick-Off Party is usually held the second week of May. With a donation to the park, you can get expert advice from certified pet trainer Glenn Goldman; get your dog’s nails trimmed by a professional groomer, and have your photo portrait taken with your favorite furry friend.

We also participate in Gloucester’s Annual Pride Strideeach Spring. Walk with our team or sponsor a walker online!

Cape Ann Animal Aid’s Annual Rescue Reunion in June is an event we are proud to be involved with. This takes place at Stage Fort Park, and some of their demonstrations are held at the dog park as well.

The Friends of Gloucester Dog Park have a booth at the annual Waterfront Festival, which is held in late August at Stage Fort Park. Stop by our table to say hello and pick up some cool Dog Park merchandise for you and your dog! We’ll have a bowl of water available for your thirsty furry friend!

In the Fall we host the Annual Photo Shoot and Costume Contestat the Dog Park. This event is tons of fun! Dress up your dog to win cool prizes. Professional photographer Lisa Patnaude will be on hand to capture a great shot of you and your pup in costume.

In additional, there is a Spring Clean-Up Dayin April, and a Fall Clean-Up Dayin October. We are always looking for volunteers to help us keep the park in good condition, so please consider donating an hour or two of your time on those days to maintain this wonderful space.

We hold other events throughout the year, including fundraiser nights at local restaurants, so please check back for the latest info. Better yet, sign up for our occasional newsletter, and like us on Facebook. Thank you!
